Workplace deaths from falls surge by 71%

The number of workers who died from traumatic injuries while working in Australia reached 200 in 2023, with an alarming increase in deaths resulting from falls from height contributing to the figure - the highest annual death toll for eight years, a new Safe Work Australia report shows.
